Theoretical orientations and treatment approach
Because no two people are alike, I use a variety of treatment approaches to meet the needs of my clients. Although my work is integrative in nature I tend to rely heavily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Techniques (DBT) to help clients restructure their thought process and learn healthy coping skills. My approach also combines a humanistic and existential perspective and incorporates elements of attachment theory and psychodynamic techniques. When appropriate I include mindfulness techniques into treatment.
