Licensed Psychotherapist in Private Practice
I am passionate about helping you understand your relationship with transitions and unexpected changes; especially those experienced through the loss of a loved one. I collaborate with individuals and couples dealing with anxiety, trauma, grief and addiction as the result of life’s changes. Together we will identify and tap into your strengths and resources that have gotten you through similar challenges in the past. I can help you achieve better communications in your relationships, manage the effects of traumatic grief, and work with you to increase the likelihood of post-traumatic growth. I will partner with you to confront toxic shame you may have experienced as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, companion your growth as a long-term survivor of HIV, support you in your addiction recovery and help you tackle quarter life challenges. I am dedicated to creating a safe, culturally sensitive space for my clients that is sex-positive and LGBTQ+ Affirmative.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. As an Associate MFT, I volunteered at Miracle Mile Community Practice (2017-2018) where I engaged in advanced training and gained clinical experience in Narrative, Post-Modern psychotherapy.
I’ve spent the last two years (2018-2020) at Therapy Heals as an Associate MFT under the supervision of Jennifer Levin, MFT, PhD. I gained advanced clinical training and experience in traumatic grief and post-traumatic growth as I served individuals, couples, families and groups.
